Recently the City Clerk's Office has earned a slew of accolades specific to the profession of municipal clerks. Tammy Martinez, licensing coordinator of the Pueblo City Clerk's Office, earned the designation of Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC), which is awarded by the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC), Inc. IIMC grants the CMC designation only to municipal clerks who complete demanding education requirements and have a record of significant contributions to their local government, community and state. Martinez earned her education requirements through 50 experience points and 60 education points, after attending the Colorado Municipal Clerks Association (CMCA) Institute for three years and graduating in 2021. She also participated in Leadership Pueblo in 2024 with the Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce and underwent a host of business and skills management courses to complete the requirements. Martinez joined City Clerk Marisa Stoller and Deputy City Clerk Vincent (Vinnie) Petkosek with this title.
